  • I have set up my sql instance using sharepoint 2010 and installed the powerpivot farm solution. However when I try and process the SSAS solution for the first time I get an error “PowerPivot database error: Cannot set StorageEngineMode prpoerty of database ‘AdventureWorks DW 2008R2’ to ‘Traditional’ because analysis services is in VertiPaq mode.” Any thoughts on what the best way to stand up the SSAS cube without disabling the PowerPivot functionality?

    • Hi
Is PowerPivot installed in sharepoint integration mode? You can run ADW cubes and powerpivot sibe by side by configuring your ADW 2008 r2 database on powerpivot database instance.

PowerPivot uses analysis services to run and you can use the same instance for running ADW cubes.
